By downloading, installing, or using MileLog ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
MileLog is a mileage tracking application that helps users record vehicle trips for tax deduction purposes. The App provides estimated IRS deduction calculations, trip logging, route memory, and mileage report exports. MileLog is not a tax preparation service and does not provide tax advice.
MileLog uses GPS and device sensors to estimate trip distances. These estimates may not be perfectly accurate due to GPS signal quality, device limitations, or environmental factors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your mileage records before using them for tax filing or any other purpose.
IRS mileage rates displayed in the App are based on publicly available IRS data. While we strive to keep rates current and accurate, we do not guarantee their accuracy. Consult a qualified tax professional for tax advice.
You may use MileLog as a guest without creating an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.
MileLog offers a free tier with limited features and a paid "Pro" subscription with additional features. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform.
Pro subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your device's App Store or Play Store settings.
Subscription prices are as follows:
— Monthly: $3.99 per month
— Annual: $29.99 per year
A 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the selected subscription plan.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.
Free accounts may track up to 40 trips per month. This limit resets on the first day of each calendar month. Trips tracked beyond this limit require a Pro subscription.
Your use of MileLog is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
You agree not to misuse the App, including but not limited to: attempting to access other users' data, reverse engineering the App, using the App for fraudulent tax reporting, or interfering with the App's operation.
MileLog, including its design, code, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without prior written consent.
MileLog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that GPS tracking will be perfectly accurate. We are not responsible for any tax penalties, missed deductions, or financial losses resulting from use of the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MileLog and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or tax-related losses.
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App's Settings screen or by contacting us at support@mile-log.app. See our data deletion page for more information.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
